Melanie Grant knows well the challenges facing remote communities. As the owner of the Winton Newsagency, she's battled to keep news flowing to her community, while also diversifying to keep the business afloat. Her family has also been touched by suicide several times, and she speaks about how she and her family have come through.
Melanie's story is just one of the many from our local communities that we hope will inspire you.
BRAVE is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
This series is produced by Damien Lawardorn.
